We gotta change philosophy on defense or something. We keep losing to dual threat qbs. Which is why we struggle against Alabama lately. When are we going to get a serious dual threat qb?
Most teams struggle against dual threat QBs

At least the ones who are somewhat competent at throwing the ball.

SEC hype needs to stop. And I say this as a Gator fan. The transfer portal has allowed the rest of college football to catch up to them. You could true that the Big 10 and Big 12 is better than the SEC.
B1G definitely is better

Big 12, probably not.

BYU, Colorado, Arizona State, Iowa State, and Kansas State are really good teams but none are elite.

Bye week teams went 0-4.

Conference Championship games are important to those who are in the fringe and need to win to be in (Clemson for example) but if you're in win or lose, is it worth playing in?

I was talking about this in one of the threads yesterday. It's too long of a layoff for the bye week teams.

They gotta go to 8 or 16 with no byes.

The final 8 are all 99 overall teams

It isn't supposed to be easy

Who said anything about easy, all the games were won by 2+ scores except TX-AZST and even that game needed a comeback. There were no wire to wire competitive games and the rust for the layoff definitely played a part. Teams coming off momentum from last weeks playoff win vs teams who havent played in 21+ days

One thing I noticed is these SEC teams are getting out-physicaled in these bowl games. Never thought I'd see the day. It would be one thing if it was just one team, but it's been MULTIPLE SEC teams getting pushed around in the trenches this postseason.

Scary hours.
SEC now...is going through what Nebraska did a generation ago.

NU had the best S & C program, partial qualifiers etc. They didn't always win but they were ALWAYS in the mix. By the late 90s and early 00s, their advantage eroded as the rest of CFB caught up to their training techniques.

Bama/Saban basically did what Nebraska did but modernized. The rest of the SEC plus Clemson started adopting the Bama's training and narrowed the gap.

Now you got NIL + transfer portals + everyone being big and physical like the SEC. Level playing field so coaching and "the little things" matter. SEC teams can't just out-athlete you anymore because errbody got ath-o-leets now.
