Whole album ... Between Larry June and 2 Chainz there is major potential for chemistry that amounts Mac Dre-ish level of entertainment value

I will be listening with heightened expectations

I'm at "Tru Organics", glad to report that this album is right in the vicinity of the appeal I was hoping they'd achieve
:obama:

PS, now that cannabis is legal something like this would ve be the perfect album to come along with an eighth

off 1 listen I like the production here more than Great Escape. There's some monsters on here. Last 3 joints are crazy. Bigger variety in sounds than I expected. I expected every beat to be on some yacht rock drumless vibes, but it's not that. Good variety, and even some weird beats like Colossal and LLC. Bouncy hard bass and hi-hats on generation. I thought the whole album would sound like I Been, Any Day, and Tru Organics.

2 Chainz really holds this thing together. Lots of funny bars. Larry tries some new flows. Some I like. Some not as much. As always, I like the parts where Larry sings. I want a whole Larry singing project.

Faves on 1st listen are Jean Prouve, Tru Organics, Epiphany, LLC, Generation, the title track, and Bad Choices. I'd love to have heard Evidence or Boldy on LLC.

I do kind of hate the samples for Munyon Canyon and I Been had to get replayed, but at least I have the OG of I Been. Happy to send if anyone needs it. Here's the OG Munyon Canyon beat.

Good assessment although I would say the production on Great Escape fits June perfectly for a solo project. The production here is more varied which I like and is fitting as Chainz brings a different dynamic to it.

You’re right that Chainz is holding the vibe together in terms of the lyrics - off the second listen he’s got quite a few funny bars on here which was my expectation from him. Was also hoping for more singing from Larry - there was more than expected of that on Great Escape but it worked perfectly. It’s funny that it was actually ALC who told him to lean into the melodies on that project as Larry went into it thinking he had to rap like Jadakiss lool

Chainz rapping his ass off on this.

Kinda feeling like he's the star of the album. June is basically supporting cast here.

And ALC one of the damn GOAT's. Easily Top 10 with this kinda quality and consistency. Production on this is just straight greatness.

Just had "Epiphany" on repeat in the car. Sheesh!!
