This is the definition of unlikely artist coming together to forming a fire project. Most of the time when you ask someone who would you think would make a great collab album people always name the top LYRICAL RAPPERS and history has shown some of that becomes a failure soley because they fail on other aspects of what makes a GREAT ALBUM. You gotta factor in the delivery, the soundscape, the feeling they give you along with the bars. I have a theory that a few mid lyrical rappers make better music than the most lyrical ones. Sometimes you just gotta let it flow. having ALCHEMIST be your producer doesn't hurt either. Like having Chris Paul on your team. :wow:

Yep 100%. Larry and ALC was an unlikely combination, with Larry more time leaning into the Bay sound and ALC being a ‘boom bap’ producer - was weary as to whether they could make The Great Escape work but it came out beautiful and I think that’s testament to ALC’s genius behind the boards as he found a sound that worked for Larry. Add 2 Chainz to the mix, who leans more often than not into the Trap side of things and it will be interesting to see what ALC can cook up this time.

Lazy categorisations I know but it is what it is lol

actually Chainz did a few songs with Static Selektah as the producer and a preemo joint as well and he fits like a GLOVE on the soulful joints more than the TRAP sound.
