Right. They're trying to play it like 2012 was so bad for Cena but he just didn't win any titles. He still won a good chunk of matches and he never once doubted himself after losing to the Rock. He's always completely confident and that gets boring. Sometimes the hero needs to feel dejected in order for the crowd to start caring about him again. Heroes going through heartbreak and then bouncing back is interesting. A hero always being confident and never getting depressed or frustrated with his life just gets boring.

I'd have more interest in Rock vs. Cena II if Cena had to build his confidence back up. Nobody's confident all the time, we all get annoyed, frustrated or depressed with things going on in life sometimes and when we overcome that it feels like a big deal.

Now it feels like Cena just lied about having to win the first match(just to build it up) because he knew the second one was coming. At the time we didn't know that though and him losing the first match, falling into depression and begging the Rock to give him a rematch because he NEEDS to beat him could have been an interesting little story building up to the rematch.

:lawd: I can't tell you how much I feel this way, especially when Cena loses a title match only for him the next night to be named #1 contender and me going ":sadbron:he won no #1 Contender match... why?:sadbron:" Cena is like a rich kid commiting murder on Law and Order: you know he ain't seeing jail time.

Another reason why the Rock is a legit legend and Cena isn't. Hollywood Rock had a ton of jokes and alot of slick talk but when it came time to wrestle Austin again for that last time, he made that shyt more important than anything else going on next to the side story of the fans turning on him. An excellent prematch promo before the match at Mania 19 too.

Cena doesn't have that in him. He's too lazy and too worried about looking a certain way. You can tell by his comments anytime he gets the mic and overhwhelming boos take over and he has that silly look on his face. He's bothered by that shyt real deep. Sad. A very sad individual to be in that top spot.
I don't think the writers want him in any other role. He's booked like he is because it's safer than actually having him fall on hard times or being forced to change up. I agree that Rock took Austin seriously building up to their WM19, they had history there and Rock knew that Austin was a serious threat.

That last line

But yeah he's a safe bet but for them but it's gotten stale at this point. I know the dude can wrestle when he wants to but his character being the same all the time no matter what it's just old.

- TNA star Jesse Sorensen, who suffered a neck injury over a year ago, stated on his Twitter account that he is now working in the TNA offices as a marketing/production assistant. This could indicate that his career as a wrestler is possibly over.

The guy was bigger than angle and its speculated it is either Samoa joe or abyss

i so hope it is joseph park....

i really want him to be the legal mind of aces and eights.
along with bully ray,...who will turn at lockdown.
joseph park just has that paul e dangerously look.
that if he is the legal mind will present an interesting twist and explanation.
as to how the aces and eights were able to operate.
by giving tna hell, legally.

To me one of the main differences between WWE and TNA is the fact that the good guys feel like real people from time to time.

Roode getting frustrated with his BFG2011 loss to Angle then seeing his tag partner win the belt. That caused him to snap and become more selfish instead of goody goody.

Storm becoming depressed from his loss to Roode at Lockdown 2012. Leaving the company for a while. Taking time out for himself.

AJ Styles losing that triple threat a few months back. Now he can't get a title shot until the next BFG. So it makes sense for him to be depressed. Not to mention Kaz and Daniels straight up ruining his life. AJ took a break and stopped caring about his appearance.

That's character growth.

I think about this every time John Cena loses a big match then comes right back out on Raw screaming "BOY I'M GLAD TO BE BACK ON MONDAY NIGHT RAW!" I know people remember him before Mania 28 speaking in that empty arena about how much beating the Rock meant to him and then he lost and came right back out the next day. Happy as hell as if it didn't matter.

TNA writing isn't perfect but what they seem to understand is that when people lose something big they get mad. They get frustrated. They get sad and depressed. People change over time based off events that happened to them. I think this is one of the main reasons so many people say that Cena has gotten stale as a character. He just doesn't change and he acts like big losses don't mean anything.

It should be a big name so it adds credibility to aces and eights.. The group looks weak right now like its just a bunch of jobbers

no,...

tna needs to build up its talent.
with angles that makes them big names.
joseph park, being the legal mind.
after, abyss's hogun push.
which lead to him being killed by bully ray.
which was from an order hulk made.
when bully was heel.
it could all be a great tie-in.
then, park siding with bully ray, in the swerve heel turn.
as the masterminds behind, aces and eight's.
with brooke hogun also in cahoots.
all because brooke had her music career ruined from her father are all gold.

if tna makes park, bully and brooke the leaders of aces and eight's.
it has the makings to easily surpass the bullshyt low quality of the mcmahon's.
plus has the making to be better in overall quality as a slow build than the nwo.
which real talk was the worst stable slow build in the history of wrasslin.
