A mandatory is a mandatory, but I'm not watching this fight... Canelo KO within 6.

I remember it being a vacant title is all. If that’s not the case, enlighten me.

Now, can you please explain to me why in the numerous threads you’ve created for Charlo and ALL his pathetic lackluster opponent's, do you not refer to them as cherries?

Thanks, I’ll be waiting.

His fight was stopped on cuts, so it's "controversial", so they feel like they owe him. Dirrell would go onto lose to Benavidez, then Benavidez would lose the title by missing weight. Canelo wins it after being vacated by fighting Smith.

Just a bunch of dumb fukkery.

Oh yes I remember Benavidez losing the belt by missing weight. Is this why Pat thinks Canelo doesn’t need to fight his mandatories? :childplease:

absolutely not :heh:.

yildirim benefited some fukkery because his fight with dirrell had some controversy and the wbc for whatever reason felt owed him

so it would have been benavidez vs yildirim if benavidez didnt lose his belt on the scales prior to his fight with angulo

it should have been yildirim vs the next rated fighter

this was the wbc ratings around that time

as you can see canelo is nowhere around..the fukkery was the wbc went to canelo to ask him who he wanted to fight for the title. which is bad enough but canelo picked yildirim beforehand and the wbc voted for that fight where it was passed with all but 1 vote - this is where the cherry pick talk came from - canelo vs yildirim will always have that stench...compounded more if you've ever seen yildirim fight..it was so bad DAZN didnt want to approve this under the original deal Canelo/GB signed which led to the lawsuit and other things

now of course yildirim is finally getting his title shot and when the fight comes off he will be out of the ring for almost 2 years..so this particular fight a canelo stan should not necessarily try to reason on..at all..mandatory or not...its not a good fight...period

now the charlos who i dont stan either of them so i have no idea why youre asking me about them - i have zero complaints on jermell charlo - he moves right, he unified 3 belts at 154 and is on his way to being undisputed..he's good on my end..however i made it very clear on what i think of jermall charlo's middleweight run...its underwhelming to say the least..i voiced displeasure on the lackluster fights like vs brandon adams and i thought he was soundly beaten by matt korobov and got a gift...even in the charlo doubleheader ppv i mentioned the fact he faced a derevyanchenko who had been put through the wringer in 3 straight fights and winning doesnt change anything regarding charlo's position at middleweight

Thanks for the info. A lot of that is familiar but not the specifics. I do recall GB/DAZN issue with that fight but I do not recall Canelo asking for the Yildirim fight. I’d like a source for that bit of info thank you very much.

With your strict and astute knowledge of rankings, I do wonder about your nitpickings with Canelo though. I take it that when Charlo somehow, although never fighting at 160, had his first fight in the division, it was a WBC eliminator match. Did that bother you too?

As for why I’m bringing up Charlo, Andrade, Saunders - they have literally cherry picked for the majority of their careers. Yet, looking back through threads, I even saw you make out the Dennis Hogan fight (a guy with no power who never even fought at middleweight in his entire career lol) to be a decent challenge. Amazing.

I have yet to see you refer to ALL of the non competitive fights Charlo, Andrade or Saunders take as cherries. Not once yet as I’m looking at threads. The moment Canelo fights a mandatory, after fighting the #1 ranked 168 fighter, he’s a cherry picker. These other guys ONLY cherry pick - but no one calls it that. Strange.

Swap Charlo’s opponents with Canelo’s and Canelo is a nobody.

Charlo, with his actual opponents is somehow the baddest man on the planet though :mjlol:

Jokes all around and not to be taken serious.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
Charlo has nothing to do with this conversation. Canelo Smith was for Smith's WBA title, the WBC wanted their cut and let them fight for it under the condition that the winner give Yildirim a shot. They both agreed, paid sanctioning fees.:yeshrug:

Yildirim is a necessary step towards undisputed, just as Benavidez would've been had he not missed weight (again.):yeshrug:

Same old story, Canelo haters furious while their favorite fighters can't even get a meaningful fight.:francis:

You just.... Hate to see it.:francis:
