I just do :manny: that fight with Tug really made me look at him differently.

Tug is (was) no pushover. You can argue that Colbert broke him down.

A guy like Tug is not a regular “2 week notice” type of fill in.

At one point he was highly touted.

We need to stop looking for perfection, at the elite level it doesn’t exist.

I’m not taking anything away from Tug. The fact that he filled in on short notice AND moved up for that fight is what’s speaking volumes to me. Colbert outskilled him but I didn’t see anything that warranted respect. It might not be tonight, but somebody is gonna walk through all that flash he’s got and he’s gonna find himself in deep waters. How he responds, when ever that happens, will change my perception.

i will say i wasnt really high on lil bhop until he fought arboleda..the arboleda fight showed me something that had been lacking in previous fights..the killer instinct...the ability to sit down on punches and bang with a known puncher and brutally ko him

Yeah, that fight showed me the dog and pop (enough of it) is there. I still think his ceiling is extremely high. He might end up having a legendary career like Bernard.

You never know exactly (we always have the hunch) who ends up on top or near the top until it’s all over.

Example, a guy like Haney might completely fall off, and a guy like Prime Time can take his place as a “star” on the P4P list in a couple of years.
