Again, wildest thing was that it really wasn't even necessary.
Daniel had did a good enough job but Vince and company are seriously infatuated and head over heels for dude.
That was bizarre.

Vince and HHH are definitely behind Roman but I also feel like a huge part of it is Vince picking something and being hell bent on going through with it. There hasn't been someone like Daniel Bryan in a while that's clicked with fans. Vince probably hated that he had to change the WM main event last year and that the audience rejects everything he throws at them. He's using Roman Reigns as a big fukk you to fans IMO and ruining everything Roman could've been in the process.
