I'll add. If you've ever been to a fight in person.....you'll see Mexicans come in droves to support Canelo. It's unreal. Puerto Ricans love Cotto. Filipinos love Pacquiao. shyt, Asians who aren't even of Filipino descent love Pacquiao. Do you remember how many white people from the UK came to see Ricky Hatton against Floyd Mayweather???? shyt last night, Tyson Fury had the crowd behind him.


This is boxing. Tribalism makes this sport what it is.


And yet when it comes to black fighters, you'll still have some black people who will just be like nah, I'm not fukking with the black fighter. The same pride and loyalty for our own just isn't there as a whole so I can get why @Waterproof would be disgusted. I get it.

National pride is real

For us black Americans we have numerous black American fighters that we root for in a sport we dominated for years. For others they usually don't have as many champions or fighters pushed into the spotlight as us so of course they gonna go all in when a fighter of the same ethnic gets on.
It's like in MMA where most of the fighters in the UFC are white but you'll see white fans root for black or Latino fighters against white fighters.

He didn’t have to attack Ward, Ward didn’t hate on him, he said he may not want a rematch after what happened in the first fight, which is a reasonable opinion. After what happened in the rematch earlier we can see why he said that and it makes logical sense. Wilder and his stans seem to attack any and everybody regardless of race that doesn’t follow a sheep like narrative. Widler isn’t likeable, he is very arrogant and constantly trying to bring others down. He’s even shytted on Mike Tyson and other legends in the sport. He has no respect but then expects everybody to kiss his ass, it doesn’t work like that, respect has to be mutual.
