Nah he didn't. Buddy gave Kovalev better advice. Box this buff nikka up, don't worry about the KO. Just win the rounds.
No, no, no..Buddy was doing what he always doing. Excellent advice and training. We all know that. That's common sense. But Alvarez definitely didnt follow his trainer's advice. Theres no way you say that with a str8 face. He barely punched. It was horrific performance.

Listen, say what you want about Kovalev but for the people who bring up guys like Beterbiev...come on. Kovalev has looked worse than Beterbiev in some fights but who the fukk has Beterbiev fought? When Kov was fighting that level of opposition he looked untouchable.

Nikka couldn't punch Kov was lighting him up. Just like Buddy advised him to.

I don't think kovalev can take his power Alvarez is NOT puncher and buckled his knees twice in there tonight.
Kovalev had problems with the strength and size of Alvarez. He's also faster than Beterbiev. Beterbiev is a plodding, slow puncher with short arms - I think Kovalev would box his ears off pretty easily.

Alvarez was the stronger man in the ring tonight and could have blasted Kovalev out of there by actually boxing and applying real pressure, cut off the ring, body punches and etc but i had a feeling he was going to fight one dimensional and sure enough :francis:. I don't like Kovalev at all and i've never been shy about that. Probably gonna call out Ward and duck everybody else in the division, might be going to jail too who knows BUT *sigh* pains me to give him credit :scusthov::mjlol:. He did well tonight, he boxed smarter not harder. He's getting old over night though so that might be the wear and tear taking it's toll.

He barely punched because he had heat coming back at him. There were a few moments in the fight where I thought that Alvarez looked hurt.

Zurdo been saying before the fight that he moves up and fights the winner and as a WBO champ at 168 he has an automatic right to immediately challenge the WBO champ of the division north. Will he live with it then?
He loses imo

Heat that can be stopped with what was working..the rare times he threw body shots. Pressure boxing..moving....attacking smart. That wasnt done and that's why he lost.
