Tyson wasn't such a bully either as people like to picture, he didn't just completely fall apart at the first signs of resistance from an opponent. He didn't fight that well when he was forced on his backfoot but that doesn't mean he got his will beaten out of him.

It's an exaggerated narrative. You finish off opponents in dominant fashion; fans cheering for you in awe. Eventually, you go against a guy who brings the fight to you and/or maybe even beats you, all of a sudden you're a "bully who got exposed"

It's because Kovalev is a total a$$hole. He blames trainers, refs, his ovetraining and god knows who else instead of manning the fukk up. He makes Broner clown ass seem tolerable.

At least Adrien for all his delusional thoughts doesn't blame his team and throw folks under the bus or been stopped. At least there's a bit of comedic appeal with his head in space the way he is. And I can't stand Broner, but he's almost needed in the sport as mediocre as he is. He's like a poor WWE heal who routinely comes up short. Like a Tank Abbot, Josh Koshcheck or Paul Daley type.

Annoying as all fukk but not bad against a decent/C+ or B- guy aka Vargas, DeMarco and even when he got his ass kicked by Maidana did show heart by fighting back the last 4 rounds. And I hate that guy. He's learned the system to paydays and we all tune in. He's got a Mayorga appeal to him.

It ain't Jackson or Ward or the refs or commissions or Duva he's a selfish racist lazy dikk who can't handle adversity.

When Ward got up it was the beginning of the end of his chapter.

Looking back at the first fight Kovalev applied A LOT of pressure on Alvarez. He landed good quality shots to head and body of Alvarez and yet despite everything Kovalev did there was never a moment where i felt Alvarez was fighting just to survive. Sure some of those punches hurt and had him backing up but Alvarez was always just weathering the storm and waiting to strike. He's finally in there with someone that can match him physically and that doesn't bode well for Kovalev at all.

I expect Kovalev to try and counter punch more in the rematch but Alvarez has figured out his jab and Alvarez's jab of his own is going to give him hell. Trying to be objective here but i don't see many routes to victory for Kovalev outside of Alvarez just boxing completely dumb.

nah Broner is just as bad as Kovalev in terms of accountability...there isnt shyt positive about him outside of him connecting with the casuals and being in tune with todays hip hop generation

while broner struggled with the B-/C+ guys he fought; Kovalev beat the absolute shyt out of them..some with tragic consequences

Mayorga for all of his bravado came to the ring ready to fight and didnt roll over or resign unless a fighter was able to put him away...thats not Broner

Kovalev was a way better fighter than Broner ever was and ever will be
