always get a kick out of how the UFC quietly tampers with the fighter rankings whenever a champion is fighting on a weaker (on paper) PPV card to try and boost some hype
the top three welterweight rankings have been the exact same order for almost five months now, but magically this week they tampered with them and boosted Burns up to #1 jumping Covington despite none of the fighters having fought in five months
same exact order for five months, then the week of this fight they change it lol
guess they figure that will help sell a few more PPV's by saying "the #1 contender is taking on the champion!" ... instead of saying "the #2 contender"... just silly shyt like that is very fickle and unprofessional IMO
