Rock The House- DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince.

I was 11, a fan of Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, and there was no cursing so my moms copped it on cassette for me for $5.99. To this day I feel like Will Smith is an underrated MC off that album and Homebase....:ehh:

How could I forget. Being a child of the 80's growing up on Run DMC, LL and Kool Moe Dee. I was exposed to hip hop at a young age. My father was only in his mid 20's when he had me so he was bumping Hip Hop all the time. So my 1st Hip Hop album was none other than 1988's, "He's the Rapper, I'm the DJ" by The Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff. It was their sophmore LP and it's a Hip Hop Classic. Jazzy's amazing DJ skills and Will Smith's playful rhymes and storytelling was the perfect 1st rap album for a young guy like myself. Getting this album opened the door of me sneaking into my older brother's room and jacking a lot of his rap albums and listening to them. Also I was a huge fan of 1980's Horror Films. "Nightmare of My Street" had to be one of the 1st rap songs that actually sampled a theme from a film and told a story like it was apart of the film series. Will told a Freddy story. For this album and of course the history Will would go on to make, I will always have respect for Will Smith and Jazz:

Don't know if this counts but this would be the first if it does.

Ha HAAA, hadta dap this. This is the first album I bought when I got my first job. I owned a grip I dubbed from the homies before I had a job. I had a bunch of hip-hop singles I bought before I had real money to buy a whole album. So the first album I ever bought was N.O.R.E.
