I think he did it.
Obviously you can't judge too much from 30 seconds. But there's not one beat that makes me worried.
I would say No Intro Duction and maybe the last 2 tracks are the ones that dont sound too hot but I'm starting to get a feel that he's got a nice mix of soul/ 80s and 90s throwback and cinematic sounds here.
Usually I think people overstate Nas' wack beat selection but I can understand examples of wack or sub-par beats he's got. I dont get a sense of anything horrid or subpar here. Even the Summer on Smash doesn't sound too bad (I think the problems would be Swizz and Miguel on vocals if anything)
This feels like the I am the bootleg version in some places and I keep feeling a vintage Nas sound with all the records so far.
Also, given the diversty he's shown on this, I dont think any rappers need to break their budget from Kanye West when his mentor No ID is showing a good deal of versatility himself. And maybe this album will finally shut people up about Salaam being a wack producer.
Bottom line is, aside from the intro there's no beat here be it snippet or full that has me worried.
