These dikkheads could’ve gotten Russ in here but they wanted to play hardball and told him he wouldn’t start over DJ. What the fukk?! Regardless of how things ended, you’re talking to a Super Bowl winning QB! He’s willing to come in for the vet minimum and you’re not at least going to make it a competition for the starting job? That’s completely asinine. What has Jones done to deserve that level of deference from the organization? Not a god damn thing. One playoff win is all it takes? It was all about that contract and them trying to justify the bad decision they already made.

That’s also why they couldn’t keep Tyrod on the team. Daboll pissed him off with the DeVito stuff because the guys in Ronkonkoma wanted him to start over Tyrod, even after Tyrod was healthy enough to play. Everyone with a brain knew the offense looked the best and most explosive when Tyrod was under center. They burned that bridge and he left for the jets. The more I think about it, the more I think both of these guys should be outta here for real.

They doubled down on the stupidity by coming into the season with Drew Lock as the backup despite Jone's injury history, record of shytty play, and the financial benefit of sitting him half way through the season to make sure his salary doesn't become guaranteed next season :martin: If I were a player that had options, there's no way I'm signing with this team. They seem to engage in malpractice at a personnel level.

I don’t know what Watson has to do with anything. I’ve seen other people make that argument. However, Watson actually played at a level in his career that would warrant multiple teams bidding on him to make him a highly paid player. Nobody was going to pay Daniel Jones what the Giants paid him. Furthermore, Daniel Jones has the second highest cap hit of any player in the NFL this year. Watson isn’t even top 5 in terms of money paid out against the cap. Jones making what he does in actual cap value is a direct hindrance to this team because he doesn’t elevate anyone around him and he can’t mask any deficiencies that a team may have.
