I didn't order the ppv but remember the next day at school everyone was talking about it. One of the few wrestlers in the business who nobody had a bad thing to say about him. That's extremely rare in the professional wrestling business.

RIP to Owen Hart, I wasn't into WWF at the time, I was on a break of watching it one of the rare times I was, so I didn't catch his run, but later I did learn of what happened to him and it's just sad til this day.

Do you know what happened legally as far as what WWF was demanded to do for his family?

His wife sued the company and I believe they settled out of court with her. It further divided Bret with the company but eventually everyone came around except the wife. She's the reason why Owen is never mentioned on WWE programming, no Owen toys or merchandise, no appearances in video games, no hall of fame induction, etc.

It's his wife Martha that won't let the company use his image or anything. She's the one that has been holding up everything. Owen's parents and siblings forgave the company but since Martha was married to Owen at the time she has the final say and she's been adamant about the company not having access to Owen's legacy. I don't know if their children feel the same way since they're adults now.
