This was around the time the showed the Rumble on free TV in the UK. To this day, I still don't understand why, when you had to have cable to watch Raw but


Heat was a great lead in show

2000 @ MSG.

Because of the Mae Young t*ts thing, Channel 4 decided to show all of the PPV's after that on time delay of 45mins, to edit out any questionable content . Channel 4 got a history of having fukkery tevelvision programming, but they got upset about that, especially when it as well past the watershed .

From Channel 4 got the rights to show 4 out of the 12 PPV's the other 8 with sky, it was all downhill from there. Sky got the rights back a year later , but then they made the Big 4 PPV's, actually PPV in the UK, when they had up to that point been available for free if you had satellite and cable. And then it went on from there to getting less and less PPV's for free and more and more you had to order, till, every PPV you had to order.

OG Heat was amazing, and the latter version along with Velocity was appreciated for hidden gem matches. When CWs started getting treated as second rate during that time, Velocity had quite a few good CW matches to make up for it, and the latter Heat episodes were used for gimmick experiments (Just Look At Me)

shyt was insane, EVERYbody wanted to be apart of it, no matter what age you were. Sure, the WWE still makes a lot of money now, but back then, the WWE didn't have to whore themselves out to the world, cause the world was coming to them. Now, it's so much hokeyness and desperation coming from them. 1998 Vince McMahon would have been completely embarrassed at 09/10 McMahon for a Million Dollar Giveaway to attempt to bring in viewers. shyt was an amazing time period that unfortunately will never come back.
