I'm from Prescott Az, my mom works for the fire department in administration. Our neighbor was Jesse Steed, he left behind a wife and two small children fighting this fire. Apparently what happened is the monsoons swept in causing the fire to completely surround the crew. They immediately hid in ditches and covered themselves up with these "fire resistant" blankets that they use as a last possible option.

One member of the crew survived as he was away with a vehicle doing some other task.

FYI the Westboro Baptist Church is planning on protesting the funeral, which is fukked. Don't give them any attention, they make tons of money from lawsuits.

Edit: This is the largest death at one time for firefighters since 9/11.

Have you ever experienced the death of somebody close to you ?
It's something to be immune from deaths and shocking things you see on the innanetz but it's a whole different stuff to be immune to somebody you know dying.

And even that, doesn't prevent you to show some respect to those firefighters and edit the post with the gif, which is at best distasteful shock posting.

if anything i find that respectful, by that i mean that were forced to really look at the sacrifices these dudes make for us. that pic hit me like

they used the fire protection shelters, so chances are they died because of heat and lung damage, but their bodies were somewhat protected from the flames by those shelters.
