I've been saying for years that any Dems with the numbers to do so need to get some anti-gerrymandering/suppression rules on the book asap. Democratic politicians need to stop letting their voters get disenfranchised on a constant basis.
Don't get me wrong, it's fukk Trump all day, but as long as "certain" votes count more than others someone like him could easily come into power again.
For once my state had the right idea.
Proposal 2: Michigan's anti-gerrymandering amendment passes
Michigan's Proposal 3: Voters OK changes to election law
Not only an independent commission with people from both parties to draw the maps, but we also got automatic voter registration when you get/renew your license, same-day voter registration, absentee ballots for anybody that wants one (no reason needed), and straight-ticket voting. Combined with a Dem governor, I think my state at least is in pretty good shape for 2020.
