I hate to say I hoped Menendez lost last night if we were able to still retain the house. One case where I hoped the Republican would win, just for one term, and we're able to get rid of the trash there and next election a new democratic face can come in and start clean.

Dude needs to get out of here and national party should have done more to try and dump him. It's not a good look.

In no way, shape, form, or fashion would Bob Hugin have been a better choice than to reelect Menendez. I voted for Menendez with zero regrets about it.

You don't win when you don't embrace Trump.:skip:

I could barely sleep last night, I was so disturbed by Abrams and especially Gillum losing. I'm still disturbed and angry. Gillum losing and the crypt keeper Nelson getting more votes than him is one of the biggest slaps in the face of amerikkkan racism in recent memory. shyt like this makes you want to pack your bags and chunk the deuce to this evil ass country. I know I know we deal with racism on a daily basis, but this many white people staying on code and voting for an openly racist buffoon who has a tenth of the charisma and communication skills of Gilllum is truly some foul ass shyt.
c00nboys now this. Stay strong breh, only so many Ls a man can take :sadcowboys:

If a smart dumb n*gga asks you what was gained by voting I want you to hit them over the head with the following names as just an introduction to why votes matter:

Ayanna Pressley - Massachusetts' first black woman elected to congress
Jahana Hayes - Connecticut's first black woman elected to congress
Lauren Underwood - Illinois' first black woman elected to congress
Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib - first Muslim women elected to congress

Not to mention if we can get Stacey Abrams in as first black governor of GA

The landscape is changing...

@levitate I think April is just reporting the news, doubt this is motivated by her personally wanting the race to go one. :wtb:

To do this, you alienate oroegessives and young people who are activated by leaders who represent “them”/“change”. Dems are in a hard spot because they have to unite two factions of their own base along with neededing to appeal to swing voters.

Kamala isn’t really that progressive but she passes the sniff test for that base being from ca and a double (black and Asian) minority woman, for whites she can hark on being tough on crime, racially ambiguous (and good looking for her age) and having a white husband. I don’t think she’s warranted being the nominee from an experience standpoint, but she has the basics needed to appeal to both wings of the party.

You roll out Cory Booker or Elizabeth Warren as your 2020 candidate and you will see an ass kicking the likes of which we haven't seen since Mayweather vs. Corrales.

Anyone nationally showing their level of hostility to Trump....however justified is a disaster for places like Michigan Ohio etc.

And they have easily parodied images.

The interesting thing on our local ballot was how to elect officials to the School Board and how to approve the budget-Mayor appointed  or run campaigns and have the people vote
