Did some more canvassing today. Hot as shyt here in Florida today. Knocked on about 40 doors but a good amount of them were away. Some people were not interested, had an old lady in her 80s talking about NYC back in the day after I told her I was born up there. Some people were undecided and were going to think about it. Dont think it went as well as the first day but oh well gotta keep trying :wow:

I need the people from the campaign to get more resources though they’re not investing much around here. They don’t have enough workers. They don’t have shirts so my ass went out there in a regular white tee today. They got me more pamphlets when I was almost done canvassing. Got that shyt done anyway :manny:

Can you give some more details about your first time canvassing again and just break down what a typical convo goes like (length of discussion, rebuttals, how much policy you have to know, etc)?

I just got a call a few hrs ago from the Kim campaign saying they really need canvassing help cuz the polls are basically tied and the winner is most likely gonna be whoever knocked on more doors. Don't know if that was a sales pitch or not, but had me feeling hella guilty for backing out Sunday.:mjcry:

And that's why folks have to get active in their communities and focus on "less sexy" races. Sending money to senate campaigns is just as important as local state races

Breh to be honest I’m just trying to get the word out there about gillum and Nelson . If they engage in conversation I’ll go ahead and tell them about the candidates and their platform. If they refuse or they don’t seem to be enthusiastic I’ll give em a pamphlet and keep it moving. I knock or ring the bell twice and if not answered i go to the next door. I’ve tried to do as much research as possible on the top candidates and the claims the republicans are making in their TV ads about Nelson and Gillum Incase someone were to have questions about the matter.

For example the red tide blue green algae. shyt is a big problem out here in Florida and will affect tourism and the fishing industry. Red tide happens every year for a decades due to this bacteria called Karenia brevis. This year for some reason it’s lasted too long even starting to affect marine life offshore. They said it’s been causing respiratory issues in humans. The blue green algae is due to Cyanobacteria from lake okechobee and it’s tributaries. The loosening of regulations on the sugar industry has made this worse due to fertilizer runoff. The algae feed off this shyt in the water. Manatees, fish, turtles all types off animals are dying. Surprised these republicacs ain’t mad about this because a lot of them are really into fishing and all that saltlife shyt
