I wouldn't say bad, but just the "aw shucks" and constant attempts to appeal to Republican voters is frustrating and I know it will not win him conservative voters. Conservatives down here arent softshoe conservatives. They are Breitbart and fox news 24/7 conservatives. So they are a lost cause. He needs to inspire independents, left leaning, and left individuals. They've all but given up on doing that. Its not even part of the calculus it seems.

It's especially telling when Blackburn is STILL talking about Hillary Clinton and call him a puppet for Schumer and the Clintons, and he is over there preaching "why can't we all get along". Its just tone deaf.
