I'll grant you that but that doesn't change anything for me. Data is a tool, not an answer. There is always an anomaly, a situation that goes against what all the data says. By every account... the 2016 election can be considered abnormal. But the data supports my argument more so than yours.
This election cycle dems are going to vote en masse. Dems usually don’t show up in midterms but with all this mess the gop has caused you’re seeing grassroots movements Pop up all over the place. I know you usually take the pessimist route on every topic but if you haven’t seen results of the special elections then I don’t know what to tell you.Tried to tell yall that Dems winning the house is by no means guaranteed or even likely.
Old white people gonna vote Republican en masse no matter what.

How important is this election cycle for progressives?
Have some faith that some people woke the fukk up after the 2016 election... also the people that didn’t vote cuz of their dislike for hilary, the people that voted for third party candidates too.I've been disappointed with midterm results for Democrats in almost every election I can remember. I'd like to think midterms will be good for them this year but I'm just not willing to get my hopes up.
When was the last time midterms didn't go badly for the Dems? Like 2006?
I get that Trump is unpopular and that should hurt the GOP, but still. After 2016 I refuse to make the mistake of overestimating American voters.
