I hope so. However, Florida independents lean conservative.

True, but if he’s talking issues and common sense stuff vs. a lunatic Trumpy Congressman... he’s got a good shot

I mean, the GOP has narrowly won governor races in 2014, 2010...

Florida is a closed primary state. It’ll be interesting to see how independents swing. I doubt DeSantis is getting many of them.

That's what I was going to say. Closed primaries and Indy's in Florida are Dems.

And Gillums momentum has only just begun. When people find out tomorrow he's the no he's going to be a rock star. De Santis has no juice in the mainstream.

Congrats to him. I’ll be impressed if he actually wins the governorship. I don’t see it happening tho :yeshrug:

Same shyt here in Atlanta. Don’t see Stacy winning, but I’d like to be wrong.

I hope she wins but I Georgia is the toughest

I think MD and FL are our best shots to see the first black Gov

Very interesting, savvy argument from Gillum. At the very least, this probably gets Nelson re-elected. I'm not sure Gillum can win but he's the best shot democrats have. Black people weren't gonna show up heavy for the other candidates in November. You roll the dice with the best candidate and maybe circumstances go your way. Economy is showing signs that a recession is on the way, and Mueller might release his report before October/November. Lots of scenarios.
