@acri1 @Call Me James haven't I been preaching that the path to victory requires 2 steps: 1) nominate strong candidates and 2) demotivate Republican voters

You were spot on! Repped!

Talking about yesterday's elections a lot of GOP strategists were saying Trump rallying his base helped tipped the balance (while neglecting to say that Trumpism is also likely decreasing turnout in the first place).

Then it was quickly pointed out that during midterms Trump can't be everywhere like he can on these special elections and some of these primaries. Also that expecting to lean on his base to carry the water of the party is a tall task.

But I'd like to see these candidates who have increased de turnout keep their foot on the gas and keep people engaged and excited.

We are getting close!

A good thing only for Trump and Rethuglicans...

Alienating independents and moderates is not a winning strategy...
You're applying national strategy to local elections. You think people are gonna say fukk my immediate situation because people in other situations might feel a way? Stop. What's more important is that the Dems beat Republicans in these conservative areas and not whether they are progressive or moderate.

give it a rest and get off our dikks Nap....once again Bernie endorsed dems are rallying around the dem primary winnner while butt hurt centrist continue to try and split the party

I'm against the Bernie wing, because of Bernie, not because they're progressive.

Bernie should not, must not, and can not be allowed to continue to have influence in MY party.

Yea and that will never happen with far left candidates...

Alienating moderates and independents in those districts is a guaranteed L for the Dems...

Popularity doesn’t sway me. The masses are stupid. Stop relying on that argument. They don’t know what they want or how they want it.
The masses are the ones who vote, you literally want to splinter the party just because you don't like the dude, whom you already said you don't even disagree with his policies
