Yeah but even here, for a young breh, there's probably enough hostility towards black males that it would drive him away from such a space. BTW. I lived down the street from this high school. Literally 3 mins away. If you go one way towards the Antioch area you'll be in a mostly black area where as the other direction led to some backwoods redneck area but had a nice lake and park near by.

Depending which side he grew up on he either lived around mostly blacks and immigrants or he grew up amongst some good Ole southern boys types.

My guess he probably grew up in the mostly black area but that is the thing about the internet and if he was a loner with no friends, the internet probably negated any influence his surroundings had on him. This new generation, especially if their parents aren't actively pushing back against it, can easily grow up consumed and influenced strictly by the online space.
