He has to serve a minimum of 16 years, I think that's grotesque given the severity of his crime, his intent was to murder her and he happened to fail. I don't think there should be a distinction between attempted murder and murder.

If we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that a person committed such a crime, even death row is a waste of time and public resources that would be better spent elsewhere. An immediate execution is the only sensible path.

I usually say kill em in these type of situations but death isn’t good enough. Whether you’re a good person or terrible person we all have to go at some point. It should be cruel and unusual punishment for these type of crimes until they take themselves out and the prisons should make it very difficult for them to do so.
