I think the correct way to say it is they don't believe in the media fear mongering. The virus definitely exists. The question is does the government/media reaction match the actual lethality of the virus.

I personally have already had covid and am unconcerned if I get it again. Why? I'm young and have no pre-existing conditions. Thus far this virus seems to only be lethal to the extremely old or those with pre-existing conditions. Since most professional athletes don't fall into those categories, them getting covid shouldn't be a major concern. The MLB and NFL are doing it right but quarantining those that test positive and letting everyone else continue to play.
