16s and bar count

What I did years ago was took a verse that I knew was 16 and molded every verse I ever wrote after that to that verse....and after doing that so many times it becomes natural for you

With repetition you'll be able to feel it out more instead of actually counting in your head.

I always think of 16's in 4 parts since the loop restarts every 4 bars. And if it's 12, then 3 parts. It all depends on the beat. It also helps me make sure I put something memorable in each part. Hit em' with tha set up, then tha punch-line or priceless jewel

but kane's bar is 8 beats instead of 4 because he's Big Daddy Kane and his bars are big mufukka

that's where shyt gets confusing, how a writer or producer wants to roll with it. Kane's an OG lyrical legend so he was like "the more the better"
Part of the hip-hop game I suppose is how you interpret bars/beats and hooking up with a producer who feels the same way.

That's the song I used....the beat is simple and his rhyme scheme is simple....he rides the beat perfectly and hits every bar in unison with the beat....it's impossible to not be able to count along
