Word. He was denied entry to all the other rides in the park. The ride operators on that one screwed up because they let him on and didn't secure him properly. The other rides' operators knew what was up and didn't let him go on.

So sad.

The Park, ride operators, and makers of the ride are all responsible for the young boy's death ...However, I wish the kid would've shown more concern for his own safety....He was so eager to get on the ride that his own well-being and safety never crossed his mind.

Yeah, I think as a kid you don't really regard it until it's too late. Plus, he went to that theme park and wasn't able to ride any of the rides. They allowed him on this one. So he probably felt like man, let me get on this one.Plus, you put your trust in the employees to know what is right. I don't blame him at that age. .

Wow! So they didn’t check the seatbelts on the left!? That’s incredibly sad bc he could’ve lived had they did their job. Thanks to this video, the family has proof to get some type of justice.

Regarding that video before the ride

1. Sounds like there isn't actually a seatbelt for this ride.
2. It was actually the same worker yelling seatbelt (as they were going up), just fukking with the girl that was asking him earlier "Where is the seatbelt?".

I think it's likely the restraint "clicked" in place enough to activate the ride, the worker checked on him, the light indicated he was good to go so he didn't think anything else of Tyre being too big for it. There was enough force of the freefall for him (and anybody really) to slip out of those restraints if they're not secured tight enough. Bad design all around. Could've been prevented but these workers probably see bigger people get on these rides all the day, see the light indicate that they're good, and think nothing else of it because they're trusting the equipment. They should've removed him because it was clear it didn't fit.

I've legit dipped out on rides where the attendants seemed too lax with restraint/belt checks, more interested in chopping it up with their coworkers or entertaining riders.

It's wild too because if after getting "strapped in" and a rider nopes the fukk out, many attendants try hard as fukk to guilt trip and shame people into staying on the ride like their paychecks depend on it.
