Yes and it's nothing like django but people were getting heated in the movie theater with the scenes.

ok, because im wondering why django got all this hate from the black community, but i haven't heard a peep about 12 years a slave...

12 years a slave is based on a true story and directed by a black man.

Django is fictional bullshyt directed by a coke head white dude.

:yeshrug:

i agree django was fictional but the elements of slavery django depicted were factual.

i havent seen 12 years a slave yet, but i'm just trying to figure out why i havent heard anyone bytch/moan/complain about it yet.

so since the director is a so-called black man suddenly it's okay for a film to "profit from slavery?" despite the fact the rest of the producers were white?

im just trying to figure out why all the negroes bytching about django aren't bytching about this.

Because ppl are always going to dislike something or have a negative opinion about it. Smart ppl and stupid ppl.

So who cares. I saw this and Django. I thought both movies were very excellent. And I hope this one wins a nomination.

It's based on a real story told by a former slave.
Django is the product of a white man's imagination :stopitslime:
