This, nothing to prove at heavyweight anymore. Leave while your brain and body are intact, he has no business there as it is.

I don't mind him going down to 190 again and having a go, at least for him to feel it out and see if he wants it or not? This isn't Roy or the early 00's, the science behind taking the right amount of time, getting down in weight properly etc it's lightyears ahead of where it was. Plus you have to factor in Usyk's team and their state of the art approach to training too.
He does have a little something to prove with a Dubois rematch

Usyk is definitely a special fighter. Fury came out focused and trying his tactics. But usyk was landing then sharp clean counters all night. He got some pop on his punches and his stamina is excellent.

I thought fury may have won an early round or 2 but afterwards usyk was just landing cleaner more effective punches. They had an effect on fury where you seen fury was trying different stuff as the fight went on.

I thought usyk probably could have stopped him later if he upped the pressure but it was probably wise to just play it cool and cruise to the victory. This was a competitive but clear usyk win to me 9-3, 8-4 type joint

Would love to see the dubois rematch and AJ and fury go at it in wembley for a final farewell.

I am one of the ones who thought dubois stopped usyk with that body shot. But usyk was complaining so much the ref played into it. Let's see it again. If usyk clears that one, it's really nothing left to prove at all. Ride out into the sunset.

His conditioning and punch rate is really consistent. He always ramps up as the fight goes on. Excellent career. Undisputed at cruiser, then go up to heavy and beat AJ and fury 2x each and undisputed there also is crazy. While been 20 plus pounds lighter than them, that's quality work.

What rounds did you give Fury? 10 was more definitive than 9 to me, and 7 was quiet and more questionable than 6 to me.
I meant I couldn't find 6 rounds for him let alone 7.

I gave Fury rounds 1, 5, 9 and 10. I think he did good in round 10 but most of his uppercuts were blocked IMO so that's why it was not a clear one. I rewatched the 9th and I agree it's not that clear for me any more but still a round that leans to him I think.

I have 4 clear rounds then :
- 5 for Fury
- 6, 7 and 11 for Usyk
Rest are rounds where I lean decisively towards one of both. Only toss up I have was round 3, I gave it to Usyk because of more activity but I'm fine with people giving it to Fury.

Overall, Fury looked good when he got on the front foot but at some point he got countered or maybe spent too much energy and then reverted back to a more wait and see approach and then Usyk took back control.

I think Fury was winning the 12 until he started backing up and I have Usyk stealing it. Same for round 8 when he started strong as well but let Usyk back in it after he got countered flush.

Dubios should have finished the job afterwards no? he had ample opportunity to do so
Yes he should have, but giving Usyk <10seconds to recover isn't the same as what happened which was nearly 5mins for Usyk to recover. . .

He shytted on Wilder for the very same thing after the 3rd fight. Called him all kinds of names for it.

Now he does it to Usyk after getting beat up 2x. :mjlol:

To think cats were saying he could beat Ali. Fury will forever be remembed as the dude who took steroids, failed drug tests, had a life and death trilogy w/ a football player who started boxing as an adult hobby, got suspended, sued, and got Steamrolled by Francis Ngannou :yeshrug:

Exactly, 100% facts. And on top of that went life and death with Otto fukkin Wallin of all people

Fury was the best in a weak HW era. Usyk is the best in a good HW era. Gotta respect him cleaning out the Cruiserwewight Division then going to HW to clean that out. And in addition, he had a stellar amateur career, similar to Loma

Ali still the GOAT (props to most modern boxers admitting that). I could not stand how people were saying Wlad K was a GOAT HW and then the same for Fury.

Both were damn near great but not GOATs.

Let these guy’s career finish before exhausting them to another level.
