not everybody gonna stay as hot consistently. things change and new people come in and things rotate. but ospreay has been fairly consistent the whole time, mercedes just had her best match against stat, white is better now than 6 months ago. Okada, Ospreay, Mercedes, and I think Jay White, weren't even around a year ago. what are we basing things on when comparing today to 6 months ago? for example Ospreay, is it cuz he was facing Swerve for the world title and had the short international title run and the iron man match with MJF? does being a title holder or involved in title matches back then make him a hotter wrestler than now? Ospreay has had 33 matches since debuting and i don't think he's had many if any bad ones. I see nothing way worse about him now than back then.

It was what I considered a bad joke and I left it at that. I loathe the "suburban black folks are cornballs and disconnected from hood black folks" argument and that's coming from someone that grew up in a bad neighborhood. That said, I've seen people diminish black wrestlers experience because of what they like and where they grew up. Y'all act like this ain't the same section that was calling a certain tag team The c00n Day back when they were fresh then put on the fukking waterworks when Kofi won like "WE DID IT!" a couple years later

I grew up in a 2 square mile town that had enough murders per capita to top nationwide lists in the 90s.
I now live inside a gate, my old town is gentrified to hell and back, and my interaction with the hood is entirely bound on my willingness to commute.
I'm not going to say suburban = cornball by default. I know plenty of hood nikkas who are corny as fukk. I know thorough-ass suburban dudes. My big homie - rest in power to him - came out a county that shouldn't have had any business producing someone who lived and died on his gangster; nikka died throwing up the set. Cuh grew up in a cul-de-sac.

He was ashamed of my growth and fallback into being a boring, inside nikka. But he was even prouder of me for it.
Where you from can inform who you are; but it damn sure does not dictate it.

Don't project other people's shyt onto folk you don't know and try and tell ME I'm badmouthing my own fukking people when I'm not.
