I’m a Danielson stan but he’s already an established main eventer, it would help Hangman’s rep to beat him

I fail to see why some fans think Dragon losing is a bad call. I'm his biggest fan but I don't think him being the champ will move the needle much and he can bounce back from an L better than anyone in wrestling. Establishing Page is more important than giving Danielson the nod, imo. It's not like AmDrag is gonna fade into the distance after tonight, he's still gonna be a main player in the promotion having matches every week (or close to it). It would also open him up to create the stable he wants to have.

Yeah plus I think there's more of a story to tell in what happens to Bryan psychologically when he comes up short against someone that he doesn't think is on his level

/ telling the story of Hangman"coming up short when he thought he was the guy" we just went through already so it would be taking a step back in his story arc

Hangman doesn't really win in this scenario, unless the point would be to put him over in a rematch. And in that case, why not give him the W now? I don't think anyone gains much by prolonging the rivalry for a 2nd match were the outcome still should be "Page wins".
