I wonder if the live crowd will buy into the idea of Dragon winning. To me it's fairly obvious Hangman should and will win so these two months of Danielson tapping people out in different ways and stomping their head in will have a big test. Will the crowd start believing if he kicks Page's head in?

I see only a couple ways to satisfy the corner booking:

1. Go to time limit draw like Omega
2. Put the title on Bryan and make Hangman their Mick Foley transitional
3. Interference from a debut like Rotunda

I fail to see why some fans think Dragon losing is a bad call. I'm his biggest fan but I don't think him being the champ will move the needle much and he can bounce back from an L better than anyone in wrestling. Establishing Page is more important than giving Danielson the nod, imo. It's not like AmDrag is gonna fade into the distance after tonight, he's still gonna be a main player in the promotion having matches every week (or close to it). It would also open him up to create the stable he wants to have.

The irony of Bryan Danielson ending the reign of a man who's long game story of organic overness is about as close as one may get to Bryan's initial road to the top of the mountain.

If anyone does not think Adam Page is credible enough to believably defeat Danielson by this point, then AEW has failed Adam Page.

Page is the one who defeated Omega and is over as fukk with the crowd. I'm not sure were his lack of credibility comes from.

Danielson couldn't defeat Omega
Hangman could defeat Omega

Hangman has the upper hand over Danielson.

Maybe, but what better way to establish him than giving him the W against a guy like Danielson? I think Hangman is over enough with the crowd were putting him over people like Dragon and Punk will feel earned and add to his resume instead of feeling undeserved and like the company is pushing him down people's throat.
