Really like Jade's theme music, one of the best in AEW without lyrics.

Sammy's really come along as a babyface since he won the belt. Still some ways to go, but he did take a kind of dead crowd and make them care about the result of a Tony Nese match. Another 3 or 4 months of defenses and he might actually become a great babyface in the ring (outside of the ring...work in progress).

Jade's presentation is almost too good, given that she still can't really wrestle (case in point, she seems to hit her pump kick correctly for the first time in about 25 attempts at the end of her match, only to fukk it up HORRIBLY during the post match beatdown. She's gotta find a better set-up move that she can actually perform correctly). If Jade didn't have the presence that she does, she'd have been roundly rejected, and I'm still not sure that doesn't eventually happen if she wins the TBS Belt.

This show needs real angle progression and a live crowd (the first one more than the second) badly. It's a solid wrestling show and there's absolutely nothing to complain about on that level, but it just feels dry when nothing truly advances on this show. The Punk/Kingston confrontation feels like the last time Rampage felt truly important, and that happened a month or so ago.

Others on here have suggested that Rampage become a studio show a la Saturday Night or Worldwide, but that would actually make it feel less important than it already does (see how dead Dark feels since they started taping at Universal Studios). A residency might work, but it would have to be at a unique venue like Daily's Place that could hold a few thousand people and would give it atmosphere.

I dunno. I enjoy Rampage as a time killer and you're almost assured good wrestling on the show, but I can't see it lasting if this is all you get week after week.

To be fair, Dark is basically 2 hours of preliminary matches. I'm sure if the Dark crowd was being given matches between AEW stars or title matches that the energy would be different.
And I would be cool with them going to Daily's Place as the home of Rampage. Honestly whatever venue makes it easier to do a live show on Friday at 10pm is what needs to happen because being taped is what kills any momentum Rampage could have as a weekly must see program.

Jade should replace the pump kick with either a big boot or a thrust kick that doesn't require as much timing it right to execute it correctly.
Someone obviously talked to Red Velvet about not doing that standing moonsault she never hits correctly and I haven't seen her do it in a while so hopefully that same person will have a convo with Jade.
And even better just take the kick out of her repertoire completely and add the powerbomb. Jade is too damn brolic not to have the powerbomb in her move set.
