How are football players able to get away with this?

When i first started working out:lift: i used to do this all the time i dont understand how i got away with this:facepalm:.

I was in great shape 2.

I think the recovery time is just longer and you dont get the most efficient work if you continue to work the same body part.

they hustling backwards because bench is one of the least important exercises for football

odds are the kids are doing the workouts(offseason) and not the trainers

squats > cleans > push press >>>>>>>bench

just used bench as an example but cats from my HS went on to become nfl pro's and they would do the same workout routines daily.

I can see this happening in a High School, but I doubt they maintained the same workout programs if they went on to a D1 school.

I wrestled, swam, did baseball and did football

its impossible to play football or wrestle or swim and not work the same body party daily

but that doesn't mean that you're working each muscle to fatigue daily

its not so much as a myth as it is trying to keep regular ppl from doing fully body workouts 5times a week (which you know they would)

but yes your in season workout was VERY different from your offseason workout

I never lifted weights in season for wrestling :yeshrug:

There's a difference between working out for bodybuilding and training for sports. With bodybuilding, you give your muscles all that rest so you can recuperate and build maximum muscle. With sports like football,doing something like benching everyday may give you more muscle endurance. You WILL have to eventually rest your muscles to recover though.

My homie did in HS. He plays for Hawaii now.

This kid is a beast. He just drank a bunch of milk, no protein shakes at all.
