Smh you "blame the video game ass people" my brother is 10 and he's BEEN playing GTA 4 and not once has this boy done anything even close to violent. The boy wouldn't hurt a fly unless he was defending himself :mjpls: you c*nts have been playing GTA around that same age too don't even focking front.

:smugfavre: It's a video game. If an 11 year old doesn't know that you can't do that kind of shyt in reality without consequences, then you've already failed as a parent and they're going to end up behind bars, anyway. At 11 I understood I couldn't even talk back to my mother, much less swear and shoot up pedestrians for recreation. Damn near everybody I grew up with was playing GTA 3 at 10/11 -none of them are incarcerated or ever got an urge to kill a hooker. :rudy:

Yeah exactly.

Chris Rock said it best.

He said something along the lines of "Can't kids just be crazy?" "What were they listening to? What were they listening to?" "What about Hitler?" "What was he listening to?" "What was in his CD case?"

Yes. GTA 5 is a satire on the patheticness of the demonic realm. I probably wont complete the game 100 percent because alot of the missions are 2 demonic for me. Give me the chills like hypothermia.

I'm not sure if there is a smiley to describe look of confusion I have right now.

Exactly breh this whole video games make you violent shyt is getting out of hand. I remember playing GTA Vice city when I was 11 and I never turned out to be a killer nor did most of my friends who were playing it. Like you said breh, if your 11 and don't know the difference between a video game and real life your either mentally challenged or just a bad kid or have other problems. These kids who are shooting up schools are just bad kids or have other problems like getting bullied/bad home environment and that's whats causing them to lash out. I loved shooter games growing up and never got violent or thought about getting a real gun.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in the ghetto. I saw enough robbing, thievery, and killing to understand that nikkas usually get caught for doing thatshyt.

These kids don't share that same harsh reality so they see the shyt and think it's Ok. They know it's wrong but they don't understand that there are real consequences behind this shyt and that you can't put in a cheat code in real life.

I don't think there's any correlation between violent video games and violent crime. Millions of kids play these video games every year and you only have a few cases a year where a kid shoots up a school or something. Bullying/bad parenting/mental health probably have more to do with it than violent video games. Chance are that these same kids shooting up schools would have been playing with real guns 20-30 years ago and would have probably done the same act. At the end of the day video games don't make you violent breh kids just use it as an outlet to kill time.

How old is your kid though. If he's 4-8 than I understand where your coming from since he may not know the difference between right and wrong. But after a couple years of grade school 99.9% of kids know the difference between right and wrong and a video game isn't gonna make them reevaluate it.

He's 9. I expose him to stuff here and there. I don't want him to be one of those sheltered kids. The only reason I wouldn't let him play GTA is because of the cursing. Shooting games don't make kids crazy, studies already show there's no link. I'd like to protect his innocent for as long as possible. Probably around 12/13. In the end its up to the parents to teach them right from wrong.

Yeah breh I would be more worried about foul language/sexual content when it comes to video games and television. Things like killing/hurting people is not something you pick up from a video game or a movie because that's not what kids are around in real life. Kids are much more likely to partake in swearing/sex since those things are routinely advertised in the real world. For instance if your always swearing around your kid he might start swear because he sees you doing it and doesn't think there's anything wrong with it.
