If they had used Brock to actually put over like, Roman or Seth cleanly it could’ve. Roman has never beaten Brock without shenanigans and it took Seth like 5 years after Brock ended the Streak to beat him clean.

Beating Brock was great for Seth but he lost all of that momentum after the Bray Wyatt Hell In A Cell incident.

I FF'd through most of this show except for the Chuck/Toni Storm segment (because I had to see with my own eyes how royally WWE kneecapped Storm before she even got a chance to get going on Smackdown) and that battle royale (because I couldn't believe they would skip the easy layup of Jeff Hardy winning and having a quick little feud with Roman Reigns in favor of Sami Zayn and then they just steamroll right over Sami's win by switching the subject to Brock Lesnar who wasn't even on the damn show).

yes...a heel did a bad thing to a babyface.
That was just bad storytelling, man. There is no dancing around that immutable fact.
Toni Storm is supposed to be the hero of this story facing the villainous Chuck Flair.
So when the villain introduced food into the equation basic storytelling 1010 states that the hero should turn the tables on the villain and leave the villain with pie on her face.
Doing it the opposite way just makes the hero look like a clown.
And that is if it happens once but they then did it a second time (because they fukked up the shot of the first pie I assume) and made the hero look like an even bigger loser clown than she already was in that moment.

Hero has to be put down before they can rise up.

That is what sneak attacks and beat downs are for.
Nothing about what happened last night was for anything more than making Chuck look awesome and her opponent look like a pitiful clown.
