Nah there’s too many levels to this:

- The Shield debuted to protect Punk
- Punk blasts WWE on Colt Cabana’s podcast, birthing the “make Roman look strong” and solidifying rejection of babyface blue-eyed Roman
- Roman venting frustration on the fan backlash and blaming Punk during interviews/convention panels
- Heyman managing both Punk and Reigns
- Reigns/Rollins kayfabe feud
- Punk/Rollins real-life feud being worked into a shoot that ended prematurely due to Punk’s RR injury. Now he “took” Rollins’ spot after they were teasing Rollins as the 5th man

Watched a full Smackdown the first time in a while.

The Cody/KO segment was interesting. Cody can be a little corny at times. KO may be the GOAT justified heel.

I admit I marked out when Heyman brought out CM Punk (actually looking like a badass taping his hand).

Jade looking like a murder victim on top of the car is one trope I wish HHH would stop doing. It's just stupid and unrealistic.

Good show that breezed by.
