I disagree, all those guys you mentioned where not booked as an unstoppable monster ass kicking machine like Ryback. Those guys were heels so it's a little different in the way you book them because they are not really suppose to look strong like a monster face that they're trying to make Ryback. Heels have won but looked weak in the process since the beginning of pro wrestling.

I get that heels are meant to be booked different than faces, but looking weak and not being over after heavy investment are two different things. You look at Del Rio you got a guy who won his rookie year Royal Rumble and shelved an ex-world champ in his first few matches. The crowd is anyway

Conversely, Ryback is keeping up good heat after sonning bums and no-names all year. Dude is breaking mew ground
