I like this idea, but just curious on why Ashante/Wes instead of Melo/Trick..

Melo got his own stuff going, and Trick wouldn't be served being a background character in that squad.
Wes is one of the most complete on the roster in my mind, but homie is never going to be a world champion. There's no worry about him outshining Tez, because you know if there was even a hint of that, they'd use it to justify undermining Montez as not having 'it'.
I think Trick with Tez would end up working against both of them more than it would help either.

As much as I want to fantasy book them all in matching leather Jodeci fits, cutting promos in the desert... I think it'd be counterproductive to use anyone who is still on their rise toward the main event to be backup guys to a Tez-led stable.
