For all you people bytching about it, the Continental Classic wont be a new belt/title. The winner basically gets the tourney W and Eddie's belts.


EDIT: wait, TK just back tracked and explained there will be title and there will be three belts complain away brehs, nevermind.

I figured it'd be like the Owen Hart classic belt / Dynamite diamond ring. Something that only gets defended whenever the tournament comes back around.

That might be the case, but then you leave ROH without their main price and NJ Strong would probably have to come up with something for their little US developmental system.

It's not a huge deal but it does require some creativity booking wise.

Brian Cage coming out hurt it a bit. Killed the momentum of the match a bit, and made no sense (why didn't he come out way earlier). Still a great match though, I can't see anything topping it on this PPV

I know it's part of a storyline, but I'd feel cheated if I paid to see MJF vs Jay White in the main event.

With the way ROH is being booked, the women's title has become much more important than any other belt in that company. Athena is the only champ in that company there every week, wrestling nearly every week, having ongoing stories, main evented the last PPV in what was very likely the best women's match ever in the TKverse, etc.

I don't know what the end game is or the long-term goal is with all the titles, but at least in the present the ROH women's title match, whatever that ends up being, should and very likely will be the main event at the next ROH PPV as well.
