Not bad. But NXT is a shell of what it was a couple yrs ago

I wouldn’t say shell. But I believe it’s hard to keep the initial momentum. Cuz It’s not “new” anymore.

But I respect that Trips keeps trying to top himself/keep it fresh. Women’s Iron Man, War Games etc.

It was fresh when Owens came and debut at Takeover. Now we know the routine... new Indy guy... title reign... rinse repeat.

Owens leaving fast and Finn’s forever reign slowed up that belt. It hasn’t recovered yet.

Kansas City, MO.
So AOP probably gets called up.
Since the Indyrific Era pinned the tag champs, they'll feud?
Roddy goes on to feud with Velveteen Dream, maybe?
Black probably feuds with Almas after the Drew rematches?

How does this one rank as a WarGames match?

Good match. Don't know how I would rank it as a WarGames match compared to the ones of yesteryear, especially the late 80's/early 90's. Just different times. Not gonna get brehs dressing like it's the Bunkhouse Stampede/coming in with the intent to kill and maim, not with this overly produced kid friendly product. It was good for 2017 WWE. They need that roof on next time though:ufdup:

War Games was a solid 7/10, like most people in this thread already said they need to do this again at the Survivor Series next year AND FIX THE DAMN RULES MAKE THEM SIMPLE!

Exactly. The main gripe about the match was the fact that it was overly thought out. Wrestlers don't need to pin each other in a wargames match or the shark cages being involved:scust:. Hell, they felt like unnecessary with how fast everybody got into the cage. What made wargames great was the element of surprise. Two on one or Three on two. Just the fact that dudes are beating the living shyt out of the opposing team because they lacking a partner made the event sweet. In that double sided cage we had witnessed the following:

  • Dusty's revenge
  • Father and son reunion (Dusty and Dustin)
  • The death of the Horsemen
  • The ending of the Dangerous Alliance
It's almost poetic of how wargames was portrayed. While this event was amazing...at the end of the day, what's the endgame of this match besides "lets bring back WARGAMEZ"

I know I'm sounding:flabbynsick:, but when it comes down to WCW I become a bitter territory promoter.
