Philly. Fucc a Eagle. I mean dat.
NO SPOILERS!

Just finished Black vs Gargano. AB is a fukking star waiting to shine on the main roster. So long as they don't Balor’d his push up there, that’s a future World Champion. Great character, great wrestler, charismatic as fukk. Dude got it.

I caught a replay of this a few hours ago, I’ve got some thoughts here:

  • I caught the tail end of Shayna/Kairi, the work was good, I have no real opinion on it but they’ve got good chemistry.
  • Gargano/Black was good, I enjoyed it but at the same time...I dunno, it kinda felt like they were doing too much. I appreciated the effort, they cut a hell of a pace, but they lost me at a point. I can admit maybe it just wasn’t for me :manny: I’m over all the thigh slapping kicks and knees at this point.
  • On a lighter note, smug heel Gargano was refreshing. I’ve never fully rocked with him for whatever reason, and I think he makes for a better heel as a result :ehh:
  • Ciampa/Dream was incredible. I wasn’t crazy about Dream channeling other wrestlers, but within the context of the match it worked. He’s one of my absolute favorites to watch, as he blends old school sensibility with modern athleticism. His Takeover matches always hit the mark. Add to that an inventive finishing stretch and ending and I really enjoyed this.
  • As an aside, I’m not crazy about Ciampa getting music but it was only a matter of time.
  • War Games was fun but overtly long I felt like. Inventive spots and finish, good work done. I just felt like it could’ve had some time shaved off and it’d be that much better.
All in all great show, more than likely shyts on Survivor Series tomorrow night

“Here’s where I sit with Velveteen Dream. Unbelievable. Everything about him is not to be believed about how good he is and then I remember that he is only 23-years-old. 23-years-old, to take the champion with as much experience as he has, Tommaso Ciampa, to take him to that limit. To make a little mistake and to lose in what could have gone either way at 23-years-old. To have the whole world thinking this is yours at 23 it’s scary how good he will be.”

“It’s scary to think how dominant on every level he’ll be. If he’s not there now in a few years, it’s crazy to think that.”- HHH

“His hero role hasn’t been panning out for him for a long time. I don’t know where this is going to put him and a guy that’s spiraling down and out of control. I don’t think we’ve seen him hit bottom yet. I wouldn’t want to be the rest of the roster with Johnny Gargano.”

“He’s a smaller guy and he’s a bit of an underdog, but he has a dark side and when that dark side comes out he is a pit bull and if we haven’t seen that true full side of Johnny Gargano then when we do it’s going to be something different.”- HHH
