I don't know if any body said it but I love the idea of the championship ring and I'd be all about other variations as titles to switch shyt up, or wrestlers deciding they don't want to wear a belt and making it a different accessory in some way that fits their character.
Like if it was still a thing, John Cena's thuganomics gimmick making the belt a big ass chain or something. It'd probably do good with merchandise and it's a new way to present characters as champions.
