There really is no rest for the wicked when you’re WWE Tag Team Champion, and the Motor City Machine Guns wouldn’t have it any other way. It has been an absolutely hectic time for Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin since winning the gold from The Bloodline. On this week’s SmackDown, they defeated former champs A-Town Down Under, and in short order, #DIY and The Street Profits came calling at their door almost immediately. Unfazed, Sabin and Shelley accepted The Street Profits’ challenge for this upcoming SmackDown. Not a knock on any of the past opponents of MCMG, but The Street Profits may be their biggest to date, and they need to be prepared for one heck of a battle. Will the Motor City Machine Guns keep on rolling? Or will The Street Profits notch their fourth reign as Tag Team Champions of the world?
Speaking of champions defending their titles, Nia Jax will also be in the trenches this week as she faces off with Naomi for the WWE Women’s Championship. After a tough defeat from the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair, Jax is more than likely to bounce back as soon as possible. Like The Street Profits, Naomi is multiple-time WWE Women’s Champion, and she’ll do absolutely everything to claim her third reign as the top woman on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. That said, Nia Jax has been on a rampage the WWE Universe could not believe. Even with her miscues with Ms Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, Jax will be laser-focused once it’s gone time. Who will be the WWE Women’s Champion at the end of the night in Milwaukee?
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to kick off SmackDown. Find out what The American Nightmare wants to talk about.
