That was a pretty cool match.
My big problem is, neither guy is truly hated on the level that HBK was in 1997-1998, not even close. And certainly not the heels that preceded him.
It's a bunch of smarks screaming "you both suck!" or "you both rule!" or whatever the smark chant of the year is.
bottom line, the babyface/heel dynamic is dogshyt right now and we need a real heel to bring it back.
You can even hear it by JR and Excalibur's commentary at the end of the match. They use catchphrases like "attitudinal". There's no real passion there. They're not happy, they're not pissed. They're going through the motions because the real heel/babyface dynamic is no longer there.
Moxley is just another smark favorite who gets cheers because nobody actually hates him. Nobody is throwing garbage at him. You look at the fan's faces; nobody is legitimately angry.
Let's face it TSC. Look at the hate HBK still gets 20+ years since his athletic prime. Do you really think people in 20 years are going to lay the same shyt on Moxley, or any other heel in this business?
