According to the goofy ass troll that comments after every AEW show, black wrestlers shouldn't sign there. Hobbs closing the 3 out of the last 4 shows and Ricky is pretty much a lock to be in the finals of the tournament. :dead:

  • A black TBS champion in Jade...
  • who looks likely to face another black wrestler in Nyla for the TBS championship at Full Gear
  • A black tag team in The Acclaimed that are the tag champions and arguably the most beloved act in the company...
  • that will be competing against another black tag team in Swerve in Our Glory at the next PPV for the tag belts
  • Hobbs is likely competing for the TNT title at Full Gear, probably winning it
  • And it would not surprise me to see Jay Lethal get a Full Gear match
If we get all that (which frankly seems pretty likely) + Starks in the tournament final, that's 9 black wrestlers in 5 matches at Full Gear.

With two of the matches guaranteed to end in a black wrestler winning (TBS, Tag), Hobbs a strong chance to win the TNT belt, and Starks a strong favorite to become the #1 contender.
