What was the whole point of that anyways

Intimation, Alonzo dropped Jake off over there to get murked out (and possibly raped? :scust:) have Jake feeling kinda chill until Smiley knew Zo was out of earshot and eyesight of the hood.

The thing that made Alonzo such a good villain is he had his own twisted code of Justice. If he wasn't so arrogant and hot-headed dude woulda prolly been the most effective NARC there was. Dude damn near pulled off a scheme of megalomaniac proportions just to save his own ass and STILL keep his thumb on the Mexicans, the Damus and most of south central LA.

It says alot when ONE cop can go to the chief, the DA and the captain and get the OK in person to do some foul shyt like how he did Rodger, just to save himself and keep the hood in check. Alonzo was too talented to be a pawn, but way to full of himself to ever be a king.

It also says a lot about the system in the movie where he could go to the three wise men and they give him the green light to do roger and use that money to get out of trouble. They felt evil was necessary for justice to be done
