:deadmanny:@ you using a graph showing the US as the least charitable nation by GDP to prove we're generous....No shyt smaller countries nominal statistics will be lower:ufdup:
Honestly I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm just stating a fact, the U.S. leads the world in philanthropy and charitable giving... Are u saying this isn't true?

You posted a graph that was clearly made in order to prove my point. On top of that you stated that other nations dont give anything to others, when, looking at percentages, that is clearly not the case at all. Its like commending a dude who earns $1 trillion a year and donates $1 million over a guy making $50k and donating half of it.

Again I am only saying America gives the most. Are you saying this isn't true or not?:ld:

I posted that particular graph to be fair and show the whole picture. I'll be sure to look for more slanted/skewed data in the future...:shaq2:

:obama: Notice those nations that scored oh so high on the quality of life index, give nothing to others...:mjpls:
We both know what you were implying here. Don't be a ho. Anyone with a functional brain knows that by sheer volume, we're the most.

That's all I was saying :manny: The metric isn't as important as the impact of the aid. If we cut all aid the world would look very different.

:to:@ how easy it is to bash America, but it's like pulling teeth to give it any credit:sadbron:

Another fun fact:

America leads the world in philanthropy and provides an ungodly amount of assistance to other nations.

^How much the rich nations gave - total $ in billions and as a % of their GDP

You're so biased (or trolling).
If a billionaire give 1,000,000$ to a charity and a millionaire give 10,000$, it's obvious that the billionaire gave the most in absolute volume. But the billionaire only gave 1/1000 of his fortune while the millionaire gave 1/100, so the millionaire gave more relatively speaking and therefore "hurt" his fortune more than the billionaire meaning that his aid was more difficult to do therefore more convincing.

http://www.statisticbrain.com/countries-that-give-the-most-in-foreign-aid-statistics/
The US is the 21th country in charity and that's the index everybody uses. Yes it gives tens of billions in foreign aid but its GDP is worth tens of trillions. Using the absolute volume doesn't make sense. And I'm pretty sure you know it breh :comeon:

:russ:@ the fight to acknowledge America as the most charitable nation.

*The American private citizens gave 1.78 billion dollars in relief when a terrible tsunami hit Asia. This giving was above and beyond what the United States Government gave in aid. Bringing relief to the suffering is in the very fabric of the American psyche. The Citizens of the US don't just give lip service to helping they reach out with their pocketbooks and with themselves in volunteerism. The very size of the dollars given dwarfs what any other developed nation could contribute
Note PRIVATE CITIZENS....:bryan: You niqqas hate America:heh:

1. Few people are impressed by us.
2. Few people hate us.
3. We know nothing about the rest of the world.
4. We are poor at expressing gratitude and affection.
5. The quality of life for the average American is not all that great.
6. The rest of the world is not a slum-ridden [poop]hole compared to us.
7. We're paranoid.
8. We're status-obsessed and seek attention.
9. We are very unhealthy.
10. We mistake comfort for happiness.

Just because the US gives a smaller % of overall GDP does not mean we are lesser of a charitable nation than others. Charity is thought about in absolute terms and American give the most.

If you are a poor nation, you don't give a shyt if the US gives you 0.005% of its GDP in charity. That might equate to $30 million. If another nation, say Cambodia gives you 25% of its GDP in charity and you only get $1 million out of it, then who's really the more charitable and helpful nation? $$$$ = absolute
